The Malankara Catholic Youth Movement of North America strives to promote within its members, the growth of Catholic spiritualism, faith and values, as well as an understanding of all facets of the Malankara Catholic Church. The Movement will also promote fellowship and the development of leadership skills and other talents amongst its members.
The mission of the Church is to continue the plan of salvation definitively begun by God the Father in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. The ultimate goal of this organization is to make this salvation historical plan available to humanity through the Malankara Catholic Church. Evangelization is the means to realize this. This organization aims at the total liberation of society and the integral development of Youth. For the realization of this goal, the MCYM focuses on the 4 pillars of Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, and Political.
The Patron Saint of the Malankara Catholic Youth Movement is St. Francis of Assisi, and October 4 is recognized as Youth Day across the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church.
